Collection: Favaretto&Partners

Favaretto&Partners is a design studio specialising in interior architecture, business consultancy, communications and industrial design. The firm was founded in Padua in 1973 by Paolo Favaretto and expanded in 2009 when his son Francesco joined as managing and creative director. Paolo Favaretto was born in Padua in 1950 and graduated in Architecture from IUAV in Venice after studying with Carlo Scarpa. Francesco Favaretto (born in 1983) also graduated from the same school in 2006, attending courses in Industrial Design.

Studio Favaretto expressed its international vocation from the very first years of its activity, consolidating relationships with important and prestigious European, American and Asian brands. The office is involved in various areas of industrial design from telecommunications to furniture (seating, lighting, upholstery), with specific skills in the medical field and Design for All. Paolo Favaretto was the founder and president of the IIDD Istituto Italiano Design Disabilità, now DFA, and was a member of the scientific committee of the European project - IDIA Inclusive Design and Intelligent Technology for Accessible Workplaces. Favaretto&Partners specialises in the production of furniture for workplaces and office chairs. Their collaboration with True Design gave life to self-supporting aluminium bookcases, Wave shelves and sheet metal tables, Hive office and rocking chairs, Fender and Sho armchairs and sofas, and Eighty and Cloud tables and coffee tables.

The furniture created for Gaber includes the Slot chair family (stackable chairs, chairs with variable heights, swivel, sled, upholstered and bar-mounted); the More line of sled chairs with armrests and stool; the Nuta and Isidora lines; the Finferlo pouf with a removable cover; the Place fabric armchair; the Woody low table; and the Cucaracha four-spoke fabric armchair. The office has designed a series of lamps for Vistosi (the Jube line in blown glass, the Sata and Trepai floor and table lamps) and Panzeri (the Opuntia wall lamp with flexible arm).

Favaretto&Partners boasts many international awards and recognitions. Among the most significant are the Red Dot in Essen; the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum; the German Design Award; the Interior Innovation Award in Cologne; the IF International Award from Forum Design in Munich; the FX Award in London; Young & Design in Milan; the ADA Archiproducts Design Awards; and Compasso d'Oro honourable mentions.
