Robin Rizzini is an Italian-British industrial designer specialising in furniture design. Born in Genoa in 1973, he moved to Milan in 1993 and graduated from the Scuola Politecnica di Design in 1995, where he currently teaches in the Industrial Design Master's programme. After his first experiences at the McKimm Albemarle and the Progetto CMR studios in 2000, he began working with Antonio Citterio on projects for major design brands. In 2006, he opened his own office. A few years later, in 2009 with Lucio Quinzio Leonelli, he founded Metrica studio in Milan - internationally recognised for its innovative approach to the design and management of furnishing and design projects. Rizzini left the office in 2018 when he decided to work independently as a designer.

His first client was Keilhauer, a Toronto-based company, for whom he designed the Dario sofa collection, which won the "Silver Award" in 2005. This first experience was followed by prestigious collaborations with brands like Arper (the Cross rectangular table), Desalto, Ligne Roset (the Allungami table), Paola Lenti (the Resort outdoor system), Infiniti / OMP Group, Poliform, Pianca (Boston sofas and Dora armchairs), Zanotta, Busnelli, Offecct, SA Mobler, Extremis (the Marina line of tables and Captain chairs), Dorelan, Cor, SP01 / Space Mobili, Falper, Estel, Fantoni, Manutti, Pedrali (the Toa Toa meeting table), Twils (the Etan sofa collection). For MDF Italia, he designed the RR03 and Mate sofa collections and worked on the brand's visual communications and corporate identity.

Rizzini designs interiors ranging from residential to contract. His approach combines a technical-industrial language with an artistic-decorative approach, resulting in essential, versatile, functional and expressive furnishings. His references and spiritual masters include Dieter Rams, Charles and Ray Eames, Kenneth Grange and Pentagram of the 70s and 80s, Jean Prouvé, and Corradino Ascanio.
