Balloton is a modular ceiling lamp.‎ The modular elements are glass elements, blown and handmade, which make up the chandeliers.‎ The modular elements are called: Polyhedra, Canes, Ribbons, Trilobo, Triedri, Balloton Spheres, Plates and many others.‎

It seems soft, yet it is glass.‎ This signature VENINI optical illusion is called Balloton: a unique process that recreates a quilted effect in glass.‎ The “balloton” forming process is one of the most fascinating in the art of Murano glass making.‎ In the most important phase of the process, the master glass maker has to blow the hot glass inside a special, thick metal mould before it solidifies.‎ The mould creates the rhomboid shapes on the outer surface.‎
