Margin Floor Lamp

Design: John Astbury for New Works, 2021

Concept: The Margin series is designer John Astbury's modern interpretation of a classic screen lamp. The light spreads softly through the overlapping shades and instantly sets the tone with warmth and well-being. The softness of the organic canvas is kept in check by a clean and graphic silhouette that gives the lamps volume and appearance in the room. The floor lamp does particularly well in a living room environment, perhaps as a reading lamp by the armchair or on one side of the sofa, but can also be placed in the bedroom, to provide a relaxed and calm atmosphere. The muted colors and details that adorn Margin help to emphasize the aesthetics of the lamps and let their special character unfold. The series consists of a floor lamp, a table lamp and a pendant in several sizes.
