A design sofa imbued with the essence of comfort, expressed through extremely generous proportions and cozy asymmetrical shapes embellished with diagonal stitching that heightens the impression of movement.

Its roots in the architectural tradition, the design of the Floe Insel sofa translates the principles of the module and of versatility into bold proportions, to create generous volumes, that are both inviting and convey a dynamic spirit. The constructional harmony of the Floe Insel sofa derives from the designer's in-depth exploration of the link between the volume and the softness of the cushions. Optimizing the relationship between the padding in these and the elasticated bands, flexibility and support become one. Each element incorporates an asymmetrical line, at an angle of 25 degrees from the horizontal, making it different and unique. The seats and backs, meanwhile, feature diagonal stitching that accentuates the sense of movement. The padded profile on the outer edges of the cushions and the armrests serve to reconfirm Cassina's mastery in executing the complex task of adapting linear stitching to an asymmetrical structure.
A material approach that sculpts the pieces like chunks of ice, combines flexibility and support through the optimized relationship between the elastic webbing and the empty spaces in the foam.
Like an isle of relaxation, the system is made up of a three-seat sofa and a design ottoman that can be used individually or as a sectional sofa, and sofas with chaise longue.
