수집: David Lopez Quincoces

Born in 1980 in Madrid, David Lopez Quincoces graduated in 2004 in Art from the prestigious Universidad Complutense in that same city. After completing a master's degree in Interior Design at the Milan Polytechnic, he began a long collaboration with Piero Lissoni, resulting in the creation of interior and architectural projects (showrooms, trade fair booths, private apartments, offices, hotels and resorts) in Italy and abroad. In 2008, in parallel with his collaboration with Lissoni (as a partner in Lissoni Architettura), he started working on his own, founding Quincoces-Dragò & partners. One of his first projects was the Trussardi Café in Piazza della Scala in Milan. In 2013 at the Lissoni studio, he met Fanny Bauer Grung, a Swedish architect with a degree from Mendrisio, with whom he formed a personal and professional partnership. Together they manage the Quincoces-Dragò & partners studio with offices in Madrid and Milan. They work on projects ranging from architecture to design, graphics, and interiors, collaborating with such prestigious brands as Arcis Motor & Cycle, TJ, Brera, ADD, Doctor Smood.

In 2013, he also began collaborating with Living Divani creating the Track bench, a minimal design featuring an 8mm iron structure with two extremely slender blade-like steel supports and thin but comfortable cushioning. Numerous other projects like the Era collection followed this first product, including a desk, sofa, chairs, armchair and bedside table; the floor and ceiling-mounted Sailor bookcase; the Greene and Agra sofas and armchairs; the Nina stool; and the Kasbah garden furniture. He also designed various items for Lema, including the Ella console table, the Seryasse wardrobe, the LT40 sideboard, the Alton armchair, the Filo table, and the Areia chest of drawers. Products for Zucchetti include showerheads, mixers and bathroom accessories. He works with Salvatori in the bathroom sector, creating the Adda family of freestanding and wall-hung washbasins. Another field of interest for Quinconces is lighting. Collaboration with Oluce led to the Ilo lamp family, a series of slim-profile light fittings in wall, floor and pendant versions.

David Lopez Quincoces' work is characterised by a rigorous, essential style. Lying between the need for synthesis and a search for purity, his products are functional, commercially sustainable and designed to last. In 2020 David Lopez Quincoces was called upon, along with Francesco Meda, to take over the creative direction of Acerbis, the historical brand recently acquired by Mdf Italia. In 2018, David Lopez Quincoces and Fanny Bauer Grung opened Six Gallery in via Scaldasole, Milan. The design gallery is an incubator for projects and ideas, a place for experimentation and research where they select iconic design products and, propose their own somewhat more artisanal, outside-the-box pieces.
