Tom Chung, born in 1990, is a young Canadian designer based in Toronto. After graduating from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancuver, in 2016 he founded his own industrial design studio, with the aim of creating perfect design pieces in every environment. In 2018, he finished as a finalist at the international contemporary design festival Design Parade in Villa Noailles Hyères (France) and, in the same year, she also received the Designlines magazine’s Product Designer of the Year award. In 2019 his work was also awarded by the Wallpaper Design Awards. Chung combines a contemporary style with the industrial production technique to create timeless, elegant and refined elements. His work is the intersection of contemporary culture and industrial production - a mix of cultures that allows the designer to explore new ways of using objects and finding unique technical processes. Tom Chung’s creations are elegant and ergonomic, embellished with pure and regular lines and equipped with ingenious systems.
