Rolf Benz is a pioneer of design in Germany. Founded in Nagold in the Black Forest in 1964, Rolf Benz rapidly developed into a leading manufacturer of contemporary upholstered sofas. Internationally renowned and esteemed in over 50 countries, Rolf Benz has become synonymous with high-class design, unparalleled comfort, and top-of-the-line "made in Germany" quality. With approximately 430 employees, the company's production takes place near its headquarters. Frames are produced in-house in Pfalzgrafenweiler, while storage, cutting, sewing, pre-carpeting and upholstering come about in Mötzingen. The company is a global player in the furniture industry and partners with 300 retailers in Germany and 250 dealers worldwide. Exports account for 50% of its total sales.

Rolf Benz: Made in Germany luxury sofas

In the 1960s, when the concept of "Brand" was relatively new, the company developed a direct emotional approach to its communications. Rolf Benz manufactures furnishings with a timeless elegance that allows the most demanding customers to express their personal tastes and lifestyles. In 2011, Rolf Benz introduced Freistil, an upholstered line for unconventional and creative consumers. The Rolf Benz Contract collection is recommended for public and commercial spaces. Rolf Benz upholstered masterpieces are designed by leading international designers and have won many of the most prestigious awards. The in-house designed "Nuvola" modular sofa system won the "2018 German Design Award"; and the perfectly proportioned Rolf Benz 562 club chair designed by This Weber won the "Iconic Awards: Innovative Interior 2018", "Best of Best". Upholstered furniture from the Rolf Benz Contract collection has been used successfully in widely published architectural projects in Germany and around the world. Werner Aisslinger designed a Rolf Benz sofa for the "25hours hotel langstrasse" in Zurich. The extraordinary Rolf Benz 580 armchairs and the EGO Rolf Benz sofa system grace the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin. Commercial spaces at the Allianz Arena in Munich, the Lufthansa Business Senator Lounge at London Heathrow Airport, and the University of Baltimore Law School are all furnished by Rolf Benz. Jürgen Mauß, Chief Executive Officer of Rolf Benz AG, has run the company since March 1, 2014.
