Mayice Studio

For Mayice materials have soul, products and spaces are created and constructed using craft combined and technology. Marta Alonso Yebra and Imanol Calderón Elósegui are trained architects and passionate designers.
Between 2004 and 2014 they worked for several architectural studios where beauty, rigor and innovation are considered as fundamental tenets, with highlights including Enric Ruiz Geli, AMID cero 9 and Herzog & De Meuron. Mayice was founded in 2014 based on principles of experiment, innovation in space and objects, with special importance placed on local crafts combined with technology, such as their glass and light pieces for Real Fábrica de Cristales and Filamento, both projects are being presented at the Rossana Orlandi gallery, not forgetting Skywalk located at the Rock of Gibraltar.
