Collection: David Trubridge

David Trubridge graduated in 1972 from Newcastle University in England with a degree in Naval Architecture. As a self-taught furniture designer and nature explorer, Trubridge has over the years created iconic lighting and furniture as well as becoming an advocate for sustainable design, setting examples for others to follow. The design studio is situated in Whakatu, Hawkes Bay in New Zealand, where Trubridge and his team develop new design concepts and solutions in environmentally smart materials. The studio output ranges from custom one-off commissions, public art, lighting and furniture for clients such as Boffi and Cappellini and can be found in museums like the Centre Pompidou in Paris and Victoria & Albert in London.
