Collection: Kim Colin

Kim Colin was born in California where she attended UCLA and earned a master's degree in architecture from SCI-Arc in Los Angeles. Together with partner Sam Hecht, she founded Industrial Facility in 2002, bringing her architectural perspective to industrial design practice. In 2016, Colin and Hecht also started the Future Facility studio to propose conceptual designs involving technology and IoT. Kim Colin designs for international companies such as Herman Miller, Muji, Emeco, Novo Nordisk, Epson, Kristalia, Wästberg, Mattiazzi, and Takt Studio. Her work has received 6 IF Gold Awards and can be found in permanent design collections around the world. She was named Royal Designer for Industry in 2015 and has taught at the AA, Royal College of Art, and ÉCAL.
