Tom Dixon's Swirl stepped bookend is designed to support the books on a shelf in straight rows, but the sculptural support doesn't necessarily need to be accompanied by books, so striking is it on its own. The bookend has a small opening at the top, sized for a candle, so it can also be used as a charming candleholder – in which case, of course, you have to move it away from the easily lit paper books. The package contains two bookends, one in colour and the other one in black and white.
