수집: Roberto Lazzeroni

Roberto Lazzeroni was born in Pisa in 1950 and trained in art and architecture in Florence, where he developed a strong interest in conceptual art and Radical Design. He made his debut as a designer at the beginning of the 1980s, initiating a series of valuable collaborations in the interior design sector that inaugurated a flourishing career as architect, designer and art director of numerous products for the most prestigious international design companies. Focusing on the value of memory and tradition, Lazzeroni experiments with integrating craft and industrial production in continuous tension between past and future, autobiographical memory and collective imagination. Design history is a starting point for Lazzeroni's definition of a personal and recognisable style that translates into rigorous objects devoid of ostentation and decorative excesses - "sentimental design" as he likes to define it.

In 1988, he initiated his association with Ceccotti Collezioni under the "Made in Tuscany" banner. The partnership led to the creation of chairs, tables, desks, beds, bookcases and sofas. His collaboration with Poltrona Frau has been particularly productive. His products include The secret garden, a family of teak wood outdoor furniture with dining table, armchairs, sofa, loungers, coffee table and chairs; the Fidelio line consisting of a wood console table, TV cabinet, chest of drawers, bedside table and leather cupboard; the Volare four-poster bed and the Volare due bed combining wood, fabric and leather; Peek-a-book, a desk with a leather top and drawers; the Moondance chest of drawers and the Bluemoon bed; the Ginger swivel chair in fabric and leather versions and the Fred desk; and the Aida, Martha and Nivola armchairs.

Collaboration with Baxter resulted in the production of stools, office furniture and chairs, including the Romeo marble table; the Jules de Nuit side table; the Colette and Jorgen leather chairs; the Verba volant slim desk; the Yves leather desk; the Kir bar cabinet; and the Etienne and Pedro leather armchairs. Products created for Visionnaire (the Wall Street office furniture and desk, the Volver chairs, the Nomos chest of drawers) and Giorgetti (the Houdini storage units with integrated lighting, the Mogul desk, the Amadeus table, the Baron chairs) are modernist in style. In 2008, he began working with Lema, for whom he designed the Lucylle family of upholstered chairs, the Rainbow wooden sideboard, the Bice armchair and the Victoriano and Dream view double beds, both with upholstered headboards. He designed a series of blown glass and crystal pendant lamps for Patrizia Garganti. In addition to his work as a product designer, Lazzeroni has designed numerous exhibition and showroom installations and interior design projects worldwide. His work has received accolades, including several editions of the Wallpaper Design Awards and the ADA Archiproducts Design Awards.
