Dainelli Studio

Dainelli Studio was founded in 2007 in Pisa by Leonardo Dainelli and Marzia Dainelli. Born in Pisa in 1971, Leonardo Dainelli graduated with a degree in industrial design from the Accademia Cappiello in Florence in 1994. Marzia Dainelli was born in Milan in 1977, where she graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico in 2001. In 2018 they opened an office in via Fatebenefratelli in the heart of Brera in Milan, focusing on interiors, product design, art direction and collaborating with such important Italian brands as Arketipo, Frag, Fratelli Boffi, Fendi Casa, Galotti&Radice, Giorgetti, Lema, Porada, Sirecom Tappeti. Dainelli Studio combines Leonardo's artistic inclination with Marzia's technical and architectural know-how. Their work stands out for its sober and rational style, extreme care in using materials, and attention to detail. Designed to last over time, their products combine industrial production and craft according to an approach that the Dainellis like to define as aesthetic sustainability. Their preferred materials are wood, marble, refined fabrics and leather.

In 2008, they designed one of their first works - the DNA bookcase - for Cattelan Italia. Their collaboration with Arketipo was particularly fertile; in 2013, they produced the Goldfinger armchair and the Belair chair. In 2020, they designed the fabric Bond armchair, the glass Chimera coffee table, and the upholstered Nascar armchair. For Gallotti&Radice, they created the Elissa sofa line, the Lilas upholstered armchair and the Resia carpet. Wiener GTV Design produces their Jannis collection of armchairs and sofas. For Boffi, they designed the Martinica chair and the Vienna Sacher straw table. Their carpets for Sirecom Tappeti and wallpapers for Londonart are vibrant and varied. In 2019, they created the Velasca lamp and storage unit for Mogg; it is a tribute to the Milan skyscraper of the same name. Dainelli Studio designed the Daytona stand for the Salone del Mobile on several occasions (in 2018 and 2019) and, in 2020, for Imm Cologne. In 2021, the Meme Gallery hosted the "La Fila" exhibition by Leonardo Dainelli, a series of paintings depicting variants of anthropomorphic profiles, recurring subjects in his artistic imagination, expressed in the Faces series of marble sculptures.
