Collection: Andrea Parisio

Andrea Parisio was born in Lodi in 1964. After attending the European Institute of Design in Milan, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Pavia. He worked as a consultant for furniture showrooms - focusing mainly on the commercial and design aspects -and as an interior designer of private residences. In 1996, the Meridiani brand was created and launched by Renato Crosti under Parisio’s direction and stylistic supervision. Meridiani is a quality furniture company marketed internationally as a Made-in-Italy brand. As artistic director, Andrea Parisio coordinates the brand image, the design of the company stores and exhibition spaces and creates numerous products. In 2000, the first single-brand store was inaugurated in Milan; it is a space/laboratory of ideas for designing and presenting various collections. Over the years, they have expanded and consolidated, always faithful to the goal of creating create luxury furnishings with a contemporary, discrete and elegant design. The collections, ranging from the living area to the sleeping area to the outdoors, are characterised by essential aesthetics, the use of precious materials, and selected finishes.

For Meridiani, Parisio has designed sofas, armchairs, beds, bookcases, sideboards, and bedside tables and cabinets. These include Plinto, a family of dining tables with sculptural shapes whose name is an explicit reference to the architecture of columns. The elements composing the tables - a monolithic base, a light structure and a large top - are available in different shapes and materials and allow for multiple customisation possibilities. The essential Claud collection in solid iroko wood includes a sofa, a modular seating system, an armchair and two relaxation loungers (for indoor and outdoor use). In 2019, he designed Norton, a family of finely crafted sofas with a design that combines the traditional and the contemporary.

Since 2015, Parisio has been the artistic director of Ceramica Cielo together with Giuseppe Pezzano (an architect born in Locri in 1974, with a degree from the University of Florence). Products designed together include sinks, bathtubs and hand basins characterised by ultra-thin thicknesses, high quality and resistance. This successful collaboration has won several editions of the ADA Archiproducts Design Award.
